The PainTrace Booking SMS program
How a person opts in, step by step
- A client visits a practice's public booking page, for example summitbodywork.paintracebooking.com.
- They choose a service and a time, then fill in the booking form: name, email, and mobile phone.
- Directly beneath the mobile phone field sits a checkbox labeled Text me appointment reminders. It is unchecked by default. Only clients who check it receive texts; leaving it unchecked books the appointment exactly the same.
- The full consent disclosure is printed beside the checkbox, before anything is submitted. It reads, verbatim:
Practices opt in to their own account notifications the same way: by entering their mobile number in their private back office with the equivalent disclosure. Phone numbers are never imported, bought, rented, or messaged without this consent.
Front desk texting, the second way to opt in
Some practices on PainTrace Booking also offer a front desk line operated and answered by PainTrace Booking's virtual receptionist for that practice. Texting on that line is opt in too, in one of two ways, and only ever as a reply to the person's own request:
- A person calls the practice's front desk line and, during the call, asks for or agrees to receive something by text, for example a booking link or directions. The receptionist confirms before any text is sent.
- Or a person texts the front desk number first, which is consent to receive a reply.
Every front desk message comes from PainTrace Booking and begins with the PainTrace Booking name. Front desk messages are conversational replies only: booking links, appointment information, directions, and answers to the person's own questions. No marketing or promotional messages. Message frequency varies with the conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time; every stop word listed below is honored on the front desk number the same as everywhere else, and mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
What we send, and how often
Conversational and informational appointment messages only: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule changes and cancellations, and replies to messages a client sends first. Message frequency varies with appointment activity; a typical appointment produces one to three messages. No marketing or promotional blasts ride this program.
Fees
Message and data rates may apply according to the recipient's mobile plan. PainTrace Booking never charges recipients for messages.
HELP
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, email paintracebooking@gmail.com, or use the contact door on this site. HELP replies identify the program and this page.
STOP, the opt out
Reply STOP to any message and texting to that number ends immediately; a single confirmation of the opt out is sent and nothing further. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT all work. A client can also simply uncheck the box on their next booking, or ask their practice to switch texts off for them. Reply START to opt back in.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
