Honest comparison

The real price of massage booking software

Nobody in this industry publishes the whole table, because the sticker price is rarely the invoice price. So here it is: every platform we compete with, priced from their own public pages and current user reports, with our number sitting in the same row light. Mid 2026 figures; the note at the bottom tells you how we keep them honest.

The first sentence worth remembering: every rival on this table either charges per practitioner, caps your appointments, gates core features behind tiers, or takes a cut of your clients. PainTrace does none of the four, at $29.
The second: when a marketplace or Google sends a client, MassageBook takes 15 percent, Fresha takes 20, Booksy takes 30, Mindbody takes 20. PainTrace takes zero, forever, because your clients are yours.
The third: video visits are the new dividing line. Jane and SimplePractice include them, on plans that run $49 to $99 per practitioner. Vagaro sells livestreaming as a $10 a month add on. Most massage first platforms have none at all. PainTrace includes video visits in the same flat $29: book one, send the link, chart it like any other session.

How this table is made

Advertised prices come from each vendor public pricing page. Real monthly figures come from those same pages plus practitioner surveys and user reports, and they name their assumptions in the cell: tier needed for the working feature set, add ons a practice actually buys, or processing at a stated volume. Where a vendor hides pricing behind a sales call, we say so and cite cost guides. When a number moves, we move it; the date and the invitation to correct us live in the note below.
